The last of the core courses! Hooray, you made it! After you pass this course, you will no longer be a student but a doctoral candidate! Way to go!
Many will argue that this is the easiest course in the entire program. To me, it was the most fun. It allowed me to explore things that I have been writing about for years and bring them together. As you know, in our world that is called synthesis (ha!)

Course Description
Rationale
The strategic leadership content of this course recaps learning outcomes throughout the DSL program and is a cumulative, in-depth exploration of the leadership development process. Each week, students explore and develop different components of strategic leadership development. This course supports the biblical mandate to make disciples and consequently develop leaders. This course supports students in reflecting on their leadership development and their call to serve and develop others.

What You Should Know about BMAL 780
Now that I look back on this course, I realize it was pretty intense. There was a considerable amount of writing, but everything was coming together for what was to come in the next course, BMAL 785. At this point, I was firing on all cylinders, and I felt excellent about where I was headed, and I hope, at this point, you are too.
One of the papers I wrote in this course: Literature Review: Measuring Leadership Effectiveness in Family Business
Bottom Line
The post outlines the final core course in a doctoral program, marking the transition of students to doctoral candidates upon completion. It describes the course as a cumulative exploration of strategic leadership development, emphasizing collaborative learning through discussions, research papers, annotated bibliographies, and literature reviews. The assignments include initial discussions requiring at least 400 words and two scholarly sources, two research papers of 4-5 pages each with six peer-reviewed sources, three annotated bibliographies with ten sources each, and five pages of content, and three literature reviews requiring ten sources and six pages each. The author reflects on the intensity of the course, mentioning their experience with a specific literature review paper. The document encourages students to engage with previous materials for guidance and promotes a group coaching program.
This blog has been found most useful by students reading it in order. I wrote a post a week to chronicle my time in the entire program, and for the most part, they are tagged by course. For example, here is BMAL 780. I have included a lot of my papers as PDFs. Feel free to use them as a guide.
