Right off the bat, a warning: My professor warned us way back in Week 2 of this course when she approved our research topic to start writing then and not to put it off. Of course, I did not listen and waited until the last week to begin researching and writing a 24-page literature review on the use of Experiential Learning in Building Effective Teams. I must say, it turned out quite well, and I have a solid foundation to start a new research project or dissertation if I choose to pursue this route.

Also, Michele is starting her journey this week, too, and she is very excited! Please follow her on LinkedIn.

What You Should Know about BMAL 727

I enjoyed this course, partly because it is something that I do every day in the college courses that I teach. My wife, Michele Forto, is also enrolled in the DSL program at Liberty, and she is working on a project focused on leading effective teams as well.

Here is my paper from this course: Literature Review: Using Experiential Learning to Build Effective Teams

Bottom Line

The post discusses a course focused on effective team-based leadership practices, emphasizing the creation of high-performance teams and the management of team dynamics. The author shares a personal experience of procrastination in completing a literature review on Experiential Learning in team building, ultimately expressing satisfaction with the outcome.

The course aims to deepen students’ understanding of leading teams in organizational contexts, incorporating collaborative discussions and several assignments, including a literature review topic paper, an integration of faith and learning paper, and a comprehensive literature review paper. Each assignment has specific requirements regarding length, citations, and formatting, as outlined in APA style.

We also highlight their enjoyment of the course and mention that their spouse is enrolled in a related program. They encourage students to read their blog chronologically for insights and guidance, as it documents their experiences throughout the program. Additionally, the author promotes a group coaching program as a potential resource for further development.

This blog has been found most useful by students reading it in order. I wrote a post a week to chronicle my time in the entire program, and for the most part, they are tagged by course. For example, here is BMAL 727. I have included a lot of my papers as PDFs. Feel free to use them as a guide.
