Drag Me to Hell (2009) is one of my daughter, Nicole’s favorite movies and for good reason. It has the classic chiller effects that you will find in a good scary flick as well as a plot, a couple great scenes and a cool “monster.” This time a scary goat-shadow creature.

This movie will scare you if you don’t watch out. It even did me.

Directed by acclaimed horror director, Sam Raimi, of Evil Dead fame, he did a great job on this modern twist of don’t mess with the Gypsy’s!

What is your favorite scary movie?

April 3, 2012 by robertforto Leave a Comment

Over the past few weeks we conducted our own form of March Madness. We set out to find out what you, rabid reader, think was the scariest movie of all time.

We had some great match ups including the best in the horror genre. Everything from the classics like Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolf Man and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. To the slasher films that were so popular in the 1980s like–Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Evil Dead, and The Thing. To the new breed of horror with films like–Drag Me to Hell and Saw.

After 32 match-ups and hundreds of votes it came down to the championship: Two old school films that have scared even the seasoned horror fan– The Exorcist and The Shining.

The Winner

Coming in October we will bring you our annual 31 Days of Horror marathon. We hope you will join us!

The spell calls up an evil force from the woods which turns Linda into a monstrous Deadite, and threatens to do the same to Ash. When the professor’s daughter and her entourage show up at the cabin, the night turns into a non-stop, grotesquely comic battle with chainsaw and shotgun on one side, demon horde and flying eyeball on the other.
