While most people dread tax day, I am grateful to have the opportunity to run a successful business and know what it takes to make it as an entrepreneur for the past twenty-five years. I have never had to work for anyone else. What is not great about that!
I am grateful for my continued good health and the ability to heal quickly. This is a photo of a spiral fracture of my left middle finger in a injury that happened hooking up the sled dogs on Thanksgiving Day. While the healing has been slow and it cut short a lot of my longer races this winter, my health is still great and I intend to not let anything stop me.
I am grateful for our little house in the woods. We bought this place sight unseen almost five years ago on the advice of our friend Dave who is an Iditarod veteran and now a realtor. We asked him to find us a place with access to mushing trails and the Internet! We have done so much work to make this house a home but it is our little piece of the American dream.
