For this year’s 31 Nights of Horror Challenge, the Night 24 prompt is Tech Terror. We watched the movie Truth or Dare (2017) on Netflix.
Storyline
Eight college friends head to a “Haunted Rental” for Halloween. But when they replay the game that made the house infamous, they awaken an evil spirit intent on stealing their souls.
‘Truth or Dare’ delivers genuinely disturbing and gruesome horror scenes that effectively scare audiences willing to stomach intense torture sequences. However, the film suffers from weak, predictable writing with significant plot holes and illogical character decisions. The ending particularly disappointed viewers, offering no real resolution and leaving questions unanswered. While some found it engaging entertainment, others criticized poor acting and derivative storytelling that fails to bring originality to familiar horror conventions.
Our thoughts on Truth or Dare (2017)
This movie was not too bad. It was definitely better than I thought it was going to be, judging by the beginning. However, the end was quite a disappointment
