Weeks 118 to 126 of approximately 186 are in the books in my doctorate program.
It’s been a while… It has been a very busy and productive break and I am getting excited to enter the next phase of my doctorate journey as I start BMAL 785 in just two weeks.
This has been a long time coming and I anxious to get started on my project and find out what it really takes to become a doctoral candidate.
Over the past couple months I have travelled a lot with my wife, concentrated on my business, re-asssed my goals in my life and even made some pretty drastic health changes.
I even even changed up the look of my website. Please leave a comment below or our socials (@robertforto) and let me know if you like it or what changes I can make.
I have had the blog for more than a decade and includes all kinds of stuff: from my love of scary movies, recipes for fine cocktails, and other ramblings. However, by far, most of my readers is coming from fellow DSL students who have found this blog and I am happy that it has been some assistance!
Starting on October 24, I will get back to writing a post every week and including papers or other documents that hopefully you find useful.
Thanks for being one of my rabid readers!
Oh, if you are on Twitter, I highly encourage you to follow the hashtags, #AcademicChatter and #AcademicTwitter both are great threads with advice, motivation, and a very supportive community and if you wouldn’t mind, give me a follow at @robertforto and send me a tweet letting me know you found my blog helpful!

No papers until October!
