Week 184
It has been a whirlwind week, and I am glad I am in the home stretch of yet another term and heading into a much-needed winter break.
Before I get into what happened this week, I have to give a shout-out of sorts to my friend and mentor, Richard.
A year ago today, we started working together on this doctorate project. He is my coach and has provided me with tremendous insight and a place to ask my questions and gain a better understanding of this whole process. I remember that first Zoom call together; it was when I was finishing up BMAL 785 and unsure what to expect in this project phase.
Over the last year, we have met mostly weekly on Friday nights, and I will always be indebted to him. Without him in my corner, I think this would be a very different project.
Update
After a crazy week of updates and more than 22 hours of work on Task 7 with Literature Review, it was finally approved this past Monday and is on its way for Admin Review.
I got a text from my chair early Monday morning that it was the last day to submit for admin review this term, and I got it in right in time.
Now we wait…
This is where so many of my colleagues and peers in this cohort have struggled. I just hope it doesn’t happen to me.
I am happy at this point where my project stands. I am satisfied with my work and my progress in becoming an “expert” in this field. I know there is a lot of work to be done, but we are getting there slowing buit steady.
Over the break, I plan on working ahead as much as I can and at least getting Tasks 8, 9, and 10 done before the first day of class and submitting those right away.
Well, at least barring a significant setback from the Admin Review.
So, where are you on this journey? Let me know in the comments below.
