Week 141 of 186 (BMAL 887)

Doctorate of Strategic Leadership program Robert Forto

Week 141

I am finishing of week 3 of 15 in BMAL 887 and I can fully understand why my colleagues are upset about having to re-take these courses. It is taking a considerable amount of time to get feedback on the first task. And…after the feedback is in and changes made, I have to send the task in for administrative review where they can suggest edits and back and forth, each with a six day time frame.

I am already preparing myself to have to take this course over. That will push out my goal of 186 weeks from start to finish but like my wife Michele said today, take your time, you are in no rush. We will get through it.

Research Topic

The topic is the transgenerational succession process in the family firm with an emphasis on the female leader.

Description of your progress during the past week

Task 1 submitted and waiting on feedback so I can move forward.

Description of any roadblocks you hit during the week and how you are working through them

No roadblocks this week.

Description of what you plan to accomplish next week

Hopefully get Task 1 approved and required edits in and then turn the task in for administrative approval. I have no idea how long this process will take…
