A multi-dimensional cocktail that features strawberry that is spiced and bittered with a touch of star anise and angelica root.
2 oz. Cognac
1/2 oz spiced strawberry syrup
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
1 spritz of lemon oil
Stir the Cognac, syrup, and bitters in a dry mixing glass. Fill the glass with ice and use a bar spoon to stir until the mixing glass feels ice cold. Strain into a rocks glass over a fresh large ice cube. For an aromatic finishing touch, spray the lemon oil over the top of the drink.
