We had a poor harvest in 2016 due to many factors. One being the bees arrived very late from our supplier in California. Typically we get the bees in mid-April, this year they arrived the last weekend in April. With that the bees missed the first flowers and set everything back a couple weeks. With our very short season up here in Alaska, two weeks is tough to recover from and the bees were constantly playing catch-up. We also had more rain than usual.
Coming in 2017 we have some exciting news! We are going to be starting a little CSA. That is, Community Supported Agriculture. Stay tuned for details!
