Most Ditzy Character | Horror Lovers Challenge

I am participating in a 30-day challenge. This time it is all about horror! If you know anything about us here at the Fort, you would know that we are hardcore horror fans. Each October, we watch a movie night that we dub “The 31 Nights of Horror.”

Prompt: Most Ditzy Character

There are a lot of dumb and ditzy characters in horror. Heck it is practically baked into the storyline, right? I mean, come on, it wouldn’t be a horror movie if people weren’t making dumb decisions.

I could have chosen several characters that are probably more deserving of this honor but this post is more to pay homage to one of the greatest ditzy characters of the 1970s and early 80s horror. It goes to none other than Ms. P.J. Soles.

We all remember her in Carrie (1978) as the red hat wearing, Norma and the affable Lynda in Halloween (1978) but did you know she returned to the series in 2018 as a school teacher?

To me the scene with her and Bob are classic slasher movie horror and is often imidiated but never quite duplicated.
