I had no idea what to expect when I rented The Cabin in the Woods (2011) from Redbox on Friday night. I was expecting the typical slash ’em up flick that we have grown so tired of in horror movie.
But Cabin is nothing like you would expect. I would have to say it was one of the coolest movies I have ever seen! The last five chapters will knock your socks off! Not to ruin anything but let’s just say that you will be confronted with every nightmare you have ever had. Everything from giant cobras to killer clowns to scarecrows on crack.
Joss Whedon of Buffy fame is the man behind all of this and he made it work. It is a cool story and even better special effects. This is a movie I highly recommend.
