31 Nights of Horror. Night 21: Rob Zombie’s Halloween

On could hardly fathom a re-make of one of the greatest classics in modern horror, John Carpenter’s Halloween. But shock rocker and horror genius, Rob Zombie did and did it well. With the return of Michael Myers to the big screen in 2007, Zombie brought the story back to life in such a viseral way that left many moviegoers absent of a positive review. They all thought it was a blasphemous attempt just to make money on a horror franchise that had been well played, and many would say, over played in the past few decades.

Zombie’s version brought the viewer inside the mind of Michael Myers a story that needed to be told, at least in my opinion. Some say it was nothing put gore and porn and a sorry attempt at a horror classic.

I disagree.

What is your favorite scary movie?
