ACE Profile: Michele Forto

Robert FortoOccupation: Entrepreneur, Student

Residence: Willow, Alaska. A lovely wooded little hamlet that has the most spectacular views of Denali (Mt. McKinley)

ACE Region: Northwest

Track Record (Since 2015) Wood: 96 Steel: 228 Total: 324

Most difficult coaster to add to your track record: Lightning Rod at Dollywood

Most sought after coaster to get to: Space Mountain at Walt Disney World

What was the first coaster you rode: The Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Santa Cruz, California. I rode this coaster with my Dad when I was 7 years old, he had to hold me down because I was so small I didn’t fit securely in the lap restraints. I laughed the entire length of that ride!

Personal top five wood coasters:

The Giant Dipper – Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Cyclone – Coney Island

Bolderdash – Lake Compounce

Roar O Saurus – Story Land

The Beast – Kings Island

Personal top five steel coasters:

Rip Ride Rockit-Universal Studios Orlando

Banshee – Kings Island

Diamondback-Kings Island

Verbolten – Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Cheetah Hunt-Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Other interests:

Aside from coasters, favorite things to do in the parks: I love people watching and watching the shows and the arts and crafts. I like the different themes, especially Hershey Park! I can’t wait to go to Universal Studios in Florida!

Parks Listed (since 2015): Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Coney Island, Kings Dominion, Six Flags St. Louis, Cedar Point, Hershey Park, Dorney Park, Lake Compounce, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Great Adventure, Enchanted Forest, Camden Park, Kings Island, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Silverwood Theme Park, Eltich Gardens, Lakeside, Six Flags Over Georgia, Lagoon, Holiday World, Sea World Orlando, Fun Spot Orlando, Story Land, Six Flags Great Escape, Six Flags New England, Universal Studios Orlando, Islands of Adventure, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Kentucky Kingdom

Additional Comments: Growing up in California and visiting Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Great America (San Jose), and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk meant that I grew up a coaster junkie!  I always wanted to travel to Ohio to ride the coveted “biggest, scariest, fastest, most twisted coasters!”  When I met my husband I knew that we would accomplish my travel plans and take on the greatest coasters America has to offer!  Now that the kids are grown and we aren’t old enough to retire, we are spending our summers touring amusement parks and catching rock concerts!
